About article submissions:
1. Published papers are not accepted, nor are papers being submitted for publication in another journal. Papers must be original.
2. Authors must register to JLPE through International Association of Local Public Economics (AIEPL AC)
3. The paper may be uploaded to http://www.semepul-aieplac.com.mx/ or sent to repul.aieplac@gmail.com. The paper must be accompanied by a separate written application form indicating the title, author(s), 150-word abstract, JEL classification, ORCID ID, and a 500-word cv highlighting recent published work.
4. Papers may be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese or English.
5. After receiving confirmation of the application, it will take up to 2 weeks to communicate whether it is rejected or undergoes a double-blind decision process. In the latter case, it may take up to 5 weeks for a final decision of accepted, accepted with changes, or rejected. In exceptional cases where there is controversy, the final decision of the process will depend on a third opinion and the decision of the Lead Editor.
About reviews and PhD theses
6. Book reviews with a maximum of 1500 words are accepted.
7. Critical comments on a paper or article that has been published in REPUL are accepted. Maximum 1000 words.
8. Reviews of PhD theses in Economics no older than 24 months and 1500 words maximum.
About the presentation of the articles
9. Papers should not exceed 9000 words including footnotes, references and appendices. Papers should be submitted in Word and tables, graphs and drawings should be placed on the same page as the citation. Charts, graphs, diagrams and drawings should preferably be in Excel or the source should be indicated.
10. Quotations taken from other authors or texts included in the body of the work should be in Times New Roman font, size 11 and have a left margin of 4 cm and a right margin of 4 cm so that they are centred and in quotation marks.
11. Pages should be numbered at the bottom right-hand side. Tables should have one numbering and graphs and diagrams and drawings another. There should only be two numberings..
12. Papers should be finished in letter size, Times New Roman font, 12, and in single line for the body of the text; 2.54 cm margins on all four sides. Always start without indentation.
13. Footnotes should be written in Arabic numerals at the end before the paper but before the bibliographical references. Try to keep footnotes to a minimum. Source Tw Cent MT 9.
14. Annexes should be written in Times New Roman 11.
15. Citations within the main text should be written in parentheses indicating first the author's surname, then year and then page. E.g.: (Castro, 1999, 65). Two authors will be: (Howard and Newcome, 2009, 106). More than two authors, only the first author is used: (Reddaway et al, 2016, 82). When the page is not specified, only author and year are used (Shapere, 1977). Quotations indicating a line or a paragraph should be indicated with double quotation marks and then the reference. "And, as I mentioned, economics is built on doublé-entry and quadruple-entry transactions..." (Schelling, 1978, 75). (Schelling, 1978, 75). More than one paragraph will opt for font size but this is reserved to the editor.
16. If the article contains formulas, they should be in Times New Roman font, size 10 or 11 - depending on the symbology used - in order to be legible, and with centred alignment.
17. Never write work cited as "op cit", nor "ibid".
18. Abbreviations and acronyms are used after they are written for the first time and indicate that they will be used in the future. Care should be taken to ensure that they are not used indiscriminately but occasionally.
19. There should be no underlined words, no bold type and no inverted commas except with the indication 15.
20. All references should appear at the end under Bibliographical References and should be organised by the letter with which the first surname begins and all authors should be listed (no longer use et al) and then the year.
21. Bibliographical references should be in New Times Roman 11 and should follow the following format (APA standard).

Edited book: When the editor plans the content of the book and instead of doing it himself, he does it with the support of other colleagues and authors but under his approach and ideas and the book is submitted to a publisher for review. This should be referred to:

Coordinated book:When the author makes a selection of works and leads them through a peer review process with the aim of increasing the quality and uniformity of the works.

Compiled book: When the author only gathers the works resulting from an event and leads them through a light editing process to become uniform and to be published.

23. Once the paper is accepted for publication, exclusive rights are granted to the International Association of Public Economics AC to reproduce it by any means.
